Feedback from children

Autumn Term 2019

At the end of the Autumn Term 2019, the children that attended ‘Get Set Go’ were asked to share some of their thoughts about what they had learnt. Here are some of their comments;

“I learnt to eat a healthy diet and play new games like Kwik cricket.”

“I learnt how to play Endball and how to run quicker.”

“I learnt how to care for my teeth and make the right choices about food.”

“I learnt what the different food groups are called and why we need the right amount of food from the groups.”

“I learnt how to make soup and other food.”

“I learnt how to aim better to get more beanbags in a hoop.”

“I learnt how to run better.”

“I learnt how to run faster.”

“I learnt how to bounce a ball quickly and improve my one-minute challenges.”

“I learnt what it is good for your body to keep healthy.”

“I learnt to be active because it keeps you healthy.”

“I learnt everything about getting fit.”

“I learnt you sweat when you are active.”

“I learnt how to take care of my teeth.”

“I learnt to play Endball and that keeping fit is good for your body.”

“I learnt how to skip better and how to plan a meal.”

“I learnt how to make a variety of food and why you should be more active.”

“I learnt baking and cooking.”

“I learnt to eat lots of healthy food and to try new things.”

“I learnt that vegetables and fruit have vitamins in them.”

Summer Term 2019

At the end of the Spring Term 2019, the children that attended ‘Get Set Go’ were asked to share some of their thoughts about what they had learnt. Here are some of their comments;

“I learnt to eat lots of healthy food and to try new things.”

“I found out about different food groups and different sports.”

“I found out that vegetables and fruit have vitamins in them.”

“I learnt how to be healthy and about the different food groups.”

“I learnt how to cook healthy food.”

“I learnt how to play Endball.”

“I learnt how to run and catch better.”

“I learnt how to play games and about different food and which ones are good for you. I also learnt how to keep fit and about the food groups.”

“I learnt how to hit a ball really well.”

“I learnt how to hit a ball with a bat and about the food groups.”

“I found out how to play Kwick cricket.”

“I learnt how to be healthy and how to exercise.”

“I found out how to keep healthy and keep fit. I got better at running and catching.”

“I found out about eating different food and how to play a range of sports.”

“I learnt how to eat healthily and how to play cricket.”

“I learnt to eat healthy food and how to play endball.”

“I learnt how to eat healthy food and play healthy food games.”

Spring Term 2019

At the end of the Spring Term 2019, the children that attended ‘Get Set Go’ were asked to share some of their thoughts about what they had learnt. Here are some of their comments;

I only used to be able to make sandwiches but now I can make more things which are really healthy.”

I have learnt to eat healthily and do better exercise.

I’ve learnt that my heart beat increases when I run.”

 “I have learnt to eat healthily and not unhealthily.”

 “I have learnt to eat a balanced diet of carbohydrates and everything else on the healthy plate.”

 “I leant about all the food groups and what goes in them.”

I have learnt how to cook and for lunch I made myself pitta pizza.”

I know that bread goes in the carbohydrate section on the healthy plate.”

I have learnt to make and eat healthy snacks and eat a balanced diet.”

I have learnt to be healthy and have a balanced diet for a term. I learnt how to make a healthy food plate and stay away from bad food everyday.”

I have learnt bread is a carbohydrate and carbohydrates help give you energy.”

I learnt having fruit with a pancake makes it healthier.”

I learnt how to do new things and how to cook. Also, I learnt the foods groups on the healthy eating plate. I now know what all the food gives you and how to stay fit and healthy.”
