I have been in the education world ever since leaving school. I was initially a Nursery Nurse in a school based nursery in London before doing my teacher training degree at Chichester University. I fell in love with the location and lived on the south coast ever since. I have taught for over 15 years in a variety of schools in West Sussex and also managed 2 preschool settings in the local area. I now work for the local authority as an advisory teacher supporting all the early years Children We Care For (looked after) children in the county. Much of my time is spent delivering training to teachers and early years staff on the effects of trauma on children and how to use therapeutic strategies to support them.

I have one daughter who has only recently left Broadwater C of E. As a family we attend Broadwater Baptist Church. We also have a very cheeky dog, Misty, who loves nothing more than a long muddy woody walk!
