Statutory Pupil Admissions Committee
Responsibility for pupil admissions cannot be delegated to an individual.
The governing body will act as a pool of governors from which a committee will be formed to consider the admission of pupils at any time during the school year.
A pupil admissions committee must consist of the headteacher, and two or three other members of the governing body of whom one should not be a staff governor. Non governors may not be members. The quorum for an admissions committee is three.
This committee must be formally clerked.
The headteacher is entitled to vote whether or not s/he is a governor.

- Determine whether any child should be admitted to the school in accordance with the published admissions policy.
