Year 2 had an excellent trip to a local pond! We considered which animals live in this habitat and why. We observed frogspawn and even got to touch it!   "It felt like jelly!"  "It was really slimy!" We will be answering the question 'Why do frogs thrive in a pond habitat?' as part of our science week.    

As part of their DT, Year 5 are looking at space food and what astronauts eat. They began this week with some food tasting to evaluate different dried fruits and vegetables as well as some flavourings.  They chose their favourites and will be making their own space crisps in the next couple of weeks as well as designing some packaging for their food.

On Monday 13th March, we had a great day dressing up and acting out the events from the Great Fire of London. We had an author visit us too. Her name was Jill Atkins, author of over 190 books, including some about the Great Fire of London. We were able to buy a copy of one of her books and she signed them for us.
