Year 4 Trip to watch Worthing Symphony Orchestra

On Friday 27th January Year 4 were invited to watch Worthing Symphony Orchestra live at the Assembly rooms performing a range of classical pieces specially curated for the event. Many of our children had never seen live music like this before and it was a fabulous opportunity for them to see a range of instruments in action (including violins, which they are busy learning to play themselves). YEAR TWO - SCIENCE In Science this week, Year 2 carried out an investigation to help answer the question: what do Inuit people wear to stay warm in the Arctic? In order to find out which material was the best insulator, we covered cooked jacket potatoes with different materials including tin foil, bubble wrap, polystyrene and cardboard and recorded their temperatures using a thermometer. The children in KS1 were visited by Kate Thompson, author of: 'Super Heroes Don't Get Scared, Or Do They?' We had a fantastic morning finding out about how to become an author and we enjoyed listening to her latest book. Hens and Ducks were able to take part in a 'super hero workshop' where they enjoyed designing their own superhero. Kate showed us the first book that she had made at school and -
Broadwater's Got Talent

In December 2022, the Junior School children were auditioning for ‘Broadwater’s Got Talent’. Everyone was astounded with the level of talent across the school! Each class then voted for an act they wanted to send through to the next round which took place as a live performance! The children put on a fantastic show with acts ranging from dancing to stop-motion animation. The School Council then had the difficult decision of voting for the winner
