Year 3 had a fantastic day at Butser Ancient Farm and enjoyed being archaeologists, learning the art of cordage and wattling as well as using clay to make their own Stone Age pots.   

In years 3-6, we were really lucky to have a visit from author: Vashti Hardy. On Friday 10th June, year 4 had an exciting day making bags. Linked to our topic 'Around The World In Eighty Days', the children designed a bag that Passepartout or Phileas Fogg could use to carry their belongings in as they travel. The children were able to practise many DT skills: designing, annotating drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, making and evaluating. They were lucky enough to have the support of some students from Davisons High School to help
