Year 3 Latest Information
Welcome to Year 3!
Welcome to your first year in Junior school. There are two classes in year 3: Swifts and Swallows. Miss Mackinnon teaches Swifts and Miss Hoskins and Mrs Langdell will be teaching Swallows. The teaching assistants are: Mrs Langridge and Mrs Sims.
The school day is slightly different: you will now come in to class between 8:35am - 8.45am. Break time is now at 10:30am-10:45am and home time is the same at 3:15pm.
You will need to bring your water bottle and bag in to school every day. Swallows PE days are: Monday and Tuesday. Swifts PE days are: Tuesday and Friday.
In the Autumn term, we will be exploring the continent of Africa. Get ready explorers! In the Spring, we look at Marvellous Moving Machines and in the summer, we travel back in time to The Stone Age.

As part of Year 3's Stunning Start into their new topic on the Stone Age they made their own Stone Age shelters from twigs, sticks and leaves! -
Whole school Easter service at St Mary's

What a wonderful end to the term. The whole school came together for a very special Easter service at St Mary's. It was a reflective and moving time with readings, poems, raps and dancing performed by the children in Year 5. -
Year One and Two

On Monday 25th March, Year 1 and 2 arrived at school to find their classrooms had been transformed into scenes from the Easter story. We walked through each classroom and reflected deeply on what happened 2000 years ago. Following this interactive journey, Mary Magdalene came to us in the hall and shared the amazing news... Jesus is alive!
