The community award also goes to Thea for donating her hair to the Little Princess Charity. Alongside cutting her hair, Thea raised over £100 to enable the hair to be made into a wig for a child undergoing cancer treatment. Well done Thea.
Well done Taina for taking part in a long distance swim at the weekend. She chose to raise money for Crisis at Christmas. Taina amazingly swam one mile (64 lengths) which took her one and a half hours to complete without stopping. She raised £55 for Crisis at Christmas. Great achievement Taina.
Year 5 started making their canopic jars this week. The children used modroc, cups and newspaper to create authentic looking ancient Egyptian canopic jars. When they are completely dry, the children will be painting them and adding detail like hieroglyphics. Look back on the school's news feed for a photo of them once they are finished!
