Year 1 Latest Information
Welcome to Year 1!
We have two classes: Dove Class and Robin Class.
Mrs Rowden will be teaching Dove Class, supported by Mrs Langdell who will teach on a Tuesday. Miss Johnson will be Dove Class teaching assistant. Mrs James will be helping out too!
Mrs Lawson will be teaching Robin Class, supported by Mrs Langdell who will teach on a Friday. Mrs Williams will be Robin Class teaching assistant. Mrs Nicholson and Miss Pallant will be supporting as well.
You will need to bring your water bottle and bookbag to school every day.
We will have PE on Monday and Wednesday.
In the Autumn term we will be following ‘Footsteps through the Forest’! In the Spring we will be exploring a topic called ‘Move it’ and in the Summer we will be busy ‘Down in the Garden’.

Year 2 visit to a local pond

Year 2 had an excellent trip to a local pond! We considered which animals live in this habitat and why. We observed frogspawn and even got to touch it! "It felt like jelly!" "It was really slimy!" We will be answering the question 'Why do frogs thrive in a pond habitat?' as part of our science week. -
Year 5 Design Technology

As part of their DT, Year 5 are looking at space food and what astronauts eat. They began this week with some food tasting to evaluate different dried fruits and vegetables as well as some flavourings. They chose their favourites and will be making their own space crisps in the next couple of weeks as well as designing some packaging for their food. -
Year 2 Great Fire of London

On Monday 13th March, we had a great day dressing up and acting out the events from the Great Fire of London. We had an author visit us too. Her name was Jill Atkins, author of over 190 books, including some about the Great Fire of London. We were able to buy a copy of one of her books and she signed them for us.
