YEAR TWO - SCIENCE

In Science this week, Year 2 carried out an investigation to help answer the question: what do Inuit people wear to stay warm in the Arctic? In order to find out which material was the best insulator, we covered cooked jacket potatoes with different materials including tin foil, bubble wrap, polystyrene and cardboard and recorded their temperatures using a thermometer. We then compared this with the temperature of a jacket potato that was not covered. We discussed our findings as a class using scientific vocabulary.
