Wednesday 1st February - Teacher Strike Day

The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’
pay, and not because of any issues at our school. Please see the attached leaflet from the Union explaining their
position. Members of the NEU within the Broadwater staff have taken the decision to uphold the call to strike
action.

After considerable thought and careful discussion with the governing board, I am informing you that
Broadwater CE Primary School will be closed on Wednesday 1st February 2023. You are asked not to send
your child into school on this day.
