Over the past few weeks, Year 1 have been inspired by Julia Donaldsons' The Gruffalo, during their English lessons. They have been writing adjectives to describe the Gruffalo and used these to create their own monster. To celebrate their learning about the Gruffalo they hosted a 'Gruffalo Tea Party' for their grandparents and other guests. As well as baking delicious flapjack for their guests, they provided entertainment too, performing the Gruffalo story with fantastic actions.
