On Tuesday 8^th November, we were visited by Norbert Werre (Principal of Unity School in Kenya) together with representatives from the Friends of Mombassa Charity Karyn Hinks and Chris Azzaro.  

They shared a video in assembly that showed Unity school and the children there and Mr Norbert Werre shared how the money raised here in Broadwater has been used.  He thanked the children for their support with the Danceathon fundraiser and presented a certificate thanking Broadwater for the donations from this event. 

Year 3 were then lucky enough to spend the afternoon with Mr Norbert Werre as part of their topic on Africa, and had the chance to ask many questions as well as learn some songs sung in Unity school. 

As a school, Broadwater will continue to work to support the Friends of Mombassa charity, to support the work that it does to help provide education for children in Kenya.  The School Council is already considering how we can best do this.
