On Wednesday Year 1 welcomed some prickly friends into school, two wonderful hedgehogs and their rescuer, Graham. Children enjoyed the chance to see the hedgehogs, many seeing one for the first time. We saw how they curl up into a ball when they are scared and we heard their sighs and snuffles which they made to tell Graham that they wanted to go back to sleep! Graham also reminded us to check for sleeping hedgehogs before using leaf piles on our bonfires this weekend.
