Last week, year 4 spent a day putting their DT skills to the test and made their very own Viking longships (not to scale of course!). They enjoyed learning about how and why the Vikings travelled and designed their own shields, sails and figure heads. In the afternoon, they put their boats to the test to see if they could float. Each child evaluated their own model and then 'sailed' them home.
